Health Alert – U.S. Embassy Nassau, The Bahamas (March 15, 2020)

On March 15, the Bahamas’ Ministry of Health announced a confirmed case of COVID-19 in New Providence.

The Ministry of Health is providing updates on COVID-19 on its website.

On March 5, the Government of the Bahamas’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a press release regarding updated border control and quarantine measures for persons traveling to The Bahamas from selected countries as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in those countries.

Any non-resident who has visited China, South Korea, Iran, or Italy in the last twenty (20) days will be denied entry into The Bahamas.  Bahamian citizens and residents returning from these four (4) countries will now be subjected to quarantine measures for a maximum of fourteen (14) days.
