On March 15, the Bahamas’ Ministry of Health announced a confirmed case of COVID-19 in New Providence. The Ministry of Health is providing updates on COVID-19 on its website.
We have no higher priority than the welfare of U.S. citizens and mission personnel. We are working around the clock to inform US travelers of the risks related to the COVID19 virus, to assist US citizens in need, and to combat the spread of the outbreak.
In coordination with the Ministry of Health of The Bahamas, Embassy Nassau is implementing all appropriate measures to help control the spread of COVID-19.
As of March 16, 2020, the United States Embassy in Nassau is canceling routine immigrant and nonimmigrant visa appointments. We will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time.
The MRV fee is valid and may be used for a visa application in the country where it was purchased within one year of the date of payment.
If you have an urgent matter and need to travel immediately, please follow the guidance provided at Ais.usvisa-info.com, by phone at +1-242-603-1290 or +1-703-831-3448, or via email to VisaNassau@state.gov to request an emergency appointment.
